Inspired by the Shore

The stories behind Mainly Moments begin where I find my own moments of wonder: along the shoreline.

Many of my walks take me along the coast of Maine and New Hampshire with my dog, Duke. I never know what I’ll notice that day—a piece of sea glass tucked among the rocks, the sound of waves rolling onto shore, a salty breeze in my hair, or the way the light changes across the water.

The ocean is never the same twice. You can stand in the very same place day after day, and somehow, it always offers you something different.

Sometimes it’s breathtaking. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes the sky is gray and the mist hangs in the air. But even on the dreariest days, there is beauty to be found.

That is where my stories come from.

They come from the walks, the waves, the sea breeze, the changing seasons, and those little moments that make me stop and look a little closer. They come from my love of the ocean and my belief that ordinary moments can become meaningful memories when we take the time to notice them.

Each story is a little piece of what I see, feel, and love about the coast—shared from my heart to yours.
